Rhode had victories of 8-2, 9- 1, and 8-2 in caputring the number one ' singles championship McHenry's other cham­ pionship came at number four singles, where Randy G4ickhad^vi€tories-ot9^.l iuod 10-0 before losing 6-4. Individual results found Rhode in first place; Chris Stumbris, second; Mike Szramek , second; Randy Glick, first; Kevin Burgess, second and Todd Rhode in second. In doubles play. Randy Glick-Kevin Burgess placed fourth, Ed Donahue-Sandeep Lahoti were second and Joe Condon-Brian Bremer ateo placed second The team results had Warriors Win In Track Nine first-place finishes helped the McHenry boys' track team to victory in a triangular meet last week. The doubles play found Randy Glick-Kevin Burgess topping Boys-Lehman 6-0, 6- 0; and Ed Donahue-Dave Bauer beating Santana- Baker 6-1, 6-1. 'Canes Win Hurricane thinclad Mike Eisele grabbed the two-mile run in 10:16.28 while his sidekick during the cross country season. Paul Sandall captured the 880-yard run in 2:06 12 and the mile run in 5:07.3 during Marian Cen­ tral's recent boys track meet with Crown and St Ed­ wards In all Marian collected five firsts in the meet as Bob Tonyan ran to a first place 10:52 in the 100-yard dash, and the Hurricane mile relay team of Chris Nylander, Carl Brown. Eisele and Sandall grabbed first in 3:47.44 The Hurricane frosh-soph team also collected 11 first place honors in the un derclass section of the meet. Then on Monday, Marian lost to Grant. 100-42 as the Hurricane 400 and 800-meter relay teams of Bob Tonyan, Paul Sandall. Chris Nylander and Carl Brown won in times of 47.0 seconds and 1:42.0. The NISRA Special Olympic basketball team has returned from state competition, held at Illinois State university in Normal, III The twelve-member team, under the coaching of Ed Hall and Rick McGuire, competed in two games during the weekend tourney. NISRA was seeded against Peoria in the first round of the double elimination tournament After trailing by 15 points at the half. NISRA rallied back with five consecutive baskets, four of which were made by the team's top scorer, Ray Lustig After coming within one point late in the fourth quarter. Peoria scored a final basket with 23 seconds remaining The final score was 28-25 in favor of Peoria.
