The prospective bride is a 1979 graduate of McHenry Community high school. The future bridegroom graduated from Crystal Lake high school in 1975. An Aug. 8 wedding is planned. Cindy Mann crowned the May queen and Corporate Communion was offered to all the serving of cake and ice cream, and many prizes were awarded. Dorothy Ullrich of McHenry was so honored. Mrs. Ullrich has devoted numerous years to education as a teacher and principal. Before her retirement in 1974. she was the principal of Edgebrook school. McHenry. In addition to her deep involvement in the field •>f education, she was also active in civic and com­ munity affairs. She was also a former president of the Alpha Theta chapter. Since her retirment. Mrs. Ullrich and her husband spend their winters in Texas in the Rio Grande Valley; still remaining very active. Holds Luncheon P Kishwaukee Trail chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution will hold its annual luncheon meeting at Millie's Pancake House in Wisconsin, Tuesday, May 26. Mrs. Maynard Howell of Woodstock and Mrs. John McClure of Harvard are in charge of arrangements. The meeting will begin at 11 a.m. and respective chairmen will give their annual reports. Mrs. Genevieve Pfeiffer of Crystal Lake, delegate to the National Continental Congress, will also give a report. Following the installation of new officers, the luncheon will be enjoyed by members and their guests. A book review will then be presented by Mrs. Charles Wright of Woodstock. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Charles Tonyan scheduled a wedding trip to Orlando, Fla. following their marriage Saturday, May 16, in the church of St. Mary of the Assumption, McHenry. While there, they planned to visit Disney World, Sea World and Busch Gardens. The bride, the former Jeri Ann Saari, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Saari. of Houghton, Mich. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Tonyan, Jr. of McHenry. /fhe Reverend James G. i KG#ynor officiated at the 2:30 p.m. solemnization and appropriate music, per­ formed by the Unity guitar * group, included "Wedding Song". "What A Great Thing It Is". "Love One Another", "Take Our Bread" and "Service". Cathy Harris gave the first reading, and the second reading was given by Scott Lasko. A two-tier candelabra decorated with greenery and , a white bow stood at each side of the altar and white bows were affixed to the t ends of alternate pews. The bride wore an ivory, old fashioned style go^n with long fitted sheer sleeves trimmed at the cuff with a ruffle. The empire waist bodice featured a narrow standup lace collar, and sheer inset yoke, edged with a wide lace ruffle. Her pleated skirt was enhanced with a wide lace flounce. A fingertip veil was secured to a matching lace cap. She carried a bouquet of ivory roses and white carnations, graced with baby's breath. Attending the bride as her maid of honor was Dianne C. Hejnal of Milwaukee, Wis. Brideftnaids were the groom's sisters, Pamela Tonyan and Patricia Dicker, both of McHenry; and Cathy Harris and Patricia White, both of Milwaukee. The flower girl was Andrea Welling of Ohio. Attendants were attired in satin rose qiana formals with spaghetti straps and highlighted with lace peplum jackets. They carried bouquets of pink" and lavender carnations, yellow roses and purple statice. Sprays of pink and lavender elegance carnations, purple statice and baby's breath adorned their hair. Handling the duties of best man was Steven Freund of McHenry. Groomsmen were th^ groom's brother-in-law, David Dicker of McHenry; Scott Lasko and Michael Tonyan, both of Milwaukee; and the bride's brother, Robert O. Saari of Houghton, Mich. The ringbearer was David Tonyan of McHenry. The mother of the bride chose a floor length pleated gown with sheer sleeves and a laced bodice. A dauphine rose qiana, floor length gown with push-up sleeves and a sheer overblouse was the choice of the groom's mother. Following the nuptial ceremony, a reception was held at T. C. Spirits, Crystal Lake, for 215 friends and relatives. The newlyweds will live in an apartment on Third and James streets, McHenry, upon their return from the honeymoon. The bride graduated from Houghton high school in 1977, Patricia Stevens Career college in 1978, and is em­ ployed as a sales and marketing secretary for Gearmaster, McHenry. The groom, a 1976 graduate of Marian Central Catholic high school; and an associates graduate of Milwaukee ... School of Engineering, is a carpenter for William Tonyan It Sons, McHenry. The Church of the Holy Family, Lake Villa, 111. was the setting for the May 16 exchange of wedding vows between the former Pamela E. Otto and John M. Seaton. Father Liebrecht of­ ficiated at the 3 p.m. ceremony and special music provided by singer, Cindy Jones, included "The Rose", "The Way You Are" and "Evergreen". The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Estelle Otto of Chicago. Mr. and Mrs. Donald E. Seaton, 3804 W. Grove. McHenry. are the parents of the groom. The bride wore a white chiffon gown with long chiffon sleeves, pointed at • he wrist. The bodice featured an empire waist and a high neck, decorated with seed pearls. The skirt flowed into a chapel length 'rain. A white hat. bedecked with seed pearls and veiling completed the look. She carried a bouquet of white orchids, stephanotis and bridal pink roses. The matron of honor was a friend of the bride. Mrs. Andrea Martin of Cicero, 111. Bridesmaids were a friend of the bride. Lt. J.G. Eileen McCall of Virginia Beach. Va.; the groom's sister, Mrs. Anne Benda of Bolingbrook, III.; the bride's sister-in-law. Mrs. Judy Otto of Chicago; and junior bridesmaid, Tina Otfo of Chicago, the bride's niece. Attendants wore mauve crepe, floor length gowns and matching jackets with a mandarin collar, both edged with satin trim. The blouson dresses were styled with spaghetti straps. The junior bridesmaid wore a white organdy dress accented with a lilac flower print and ruffles at the hemline of the skirt. A matching jacket com­ plimented the total effect. They carried bouquets of white roses and mauve colored daisies. The best man was a friend of the groom. Ivor Janci of McHenry. Groomsmen were friends of the groom. Thomas Broman of McHenry and Robert Rowe of Charleston. SC.; the groom's brother. Robert Seaton of McHenry; and the groom's brother-in-law, James Benda of Bolingbrook, III. The mother of the bride chose a floor length gown of dusty pink qiana with full length chiffon cape. A floor, length gown or' platinum qiana. with a sheer fintertip cape, was the choice of the groom's mother. A reception for 100 guests was held at the McHenry Country club. The newlyweds planned a wedding trip through the scenic state of Connecticut and Washington D C. Upon their return they will reside in Virginia Beach. The bride, a high school graduate, is employed as a dental assistant. The bridegroom graduated from McHenry Community high school, the University of Missouri, and is presently a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy. A buffet dinner served immediately following the ceremony, in the Griffith home, was enjoyed by 43 relatives and friends. The communion cake was made by the celebrant's aunt and godmother, Judy Richards of Zion, 111. Jeffs godfather is his grandfather, Louie Schmitt of McHenry. Meals are served Monday through Friday at the McHenry Walk-In center beginning at 11:45 a.m. Reservations must be made by 1:30 p.m* the day before at 385-8260.
