The future bridegroom graduated from McHenry Community high school in 1977 and served three years in the army, two and a half stationed in Germany. An Aug. 1 wedding and reception is planned at the home of the groom's parents. Fiesta Week Features 'Cutest Baby' Contest baby. A wallet size is preferred, but a picture up to 5x7, black and white or color, is acceptable. The child must be a resident of the McHenry area, and must be one year or younger by June 30, 1981 Due to restrictions in display space, the number of entries will be limited. McHenry, for the May 30 exchange of wedding vows between the former Sandra Ruth Sveen and George Charles Rimnac, Jr. The altar was decorated with an arrangement of greens and pale pink roses surrounding a large candle which represented unity, flanked on either side by a smaller candle. Similar arrangements were placed on the organ and piano. The Reverend Gerald Robertson officiated at the 1 p.m. ceremony and Mr. and Mrs. Cecil McGranahan sang four selections, "Savior Like Shepherd Lead <Us'\ "The Lord's Prayer", "The Bond of Love" and "Blest Be the Tie That Binds", ac companied by Mrs. McGranahan on the organ and piano. ' The bride wore a long white chiffon gown featuring a high neck bodice, accented with lace forming a V, en ding at the waist and the bishop sleeves were enhanced with lace inserts. Her full chiffon skirt was edged at the hemline with face and flowed into a long train. A lace cap secured her fingertip veil, trimmed with matching lace. A sister of the Lioness Club Schedules Popcorn Sale The McHenry Lioness club will hold its annual Popcorn day sale Saturday, June 6. Lioness members will be posted at various locations throughout the McHenry business district Proceeds from this sale will be used to provide assistance to sight and hearing impaired persons in the area who, otherwise, could not afford medical attention. The mother of the bride chose a dusty rose crepe polyester long dress with a V-neck and long sleeves, styled with a softly draped bodice and waist. A suede rose long dress was the choice of the groom's mother. The church hall was the setting for a reception for 150 guests, served by Mrs. Tom Krause, Lori and Alynda Robertson. The newlyweds spent their honeymoon at a lake cabin in Northern Minnesota and they will reside in Wheeling, 111 upon their return. The bride attended St. Paul Bible college and is employed by Fiat-Allis, Deerfield, 111., as an ad ministrative assistant. Her husband attended the University of Airzona. Jeff Dombrowski, left, and Philip Webb, students of Mrs. Let' fifth grade class at Hilltop school, are shown displaying a latch hook rug they worked on as a class project STAFF PHOTO-WAYNE GAYLORD Beginning last September, the class decided to do a service project for their school before going on to Parkland for junior high school. They decided to latch hook a three-foot by five-foot rug bearing their school's name, to hang in the entrance hall. With the help of the Hilltop Parent-Teacher organization and a local shop, the group finished the project just in time for the end of the school year. The students volunteered much of their recess time and free class time to complete the rug. They worked in small groups and individually, and had a strong feeling of pride and satisfaction when they ad mired their finished product.
