JUNE 19.1961 McNish Tops Warrior Stats Jeff McNish, McHenry's representitive on the Fox Valley all-conference baseball team , led the team in two offensive categories, according to statistics released by coach Brian Wilson. McNish, a senior who pitched and played the outfield, led the team in hitting with a .370 batting average and paced McHenry with five doubles. McNish also led the team in two pitching statistics: He pitched 53 innings and struck out 24 to lead the Warrior staff. Other team batting leaders included Joe Bauml, 81 at-bats; Bob Greve, 16 runs scored; Dave Smith, 10 runs batted in; and Bauml, three triples. Smith and Greve shared the hit leadership with 20 each. Matt Mroz had the lowest earned run average on the McHenry staff, a 4.38 mark in 24 innings of work.
