Ringwood News Doris Low 653-9262 Katy Christopher 385-8037 Campout Was Huge Success Another successful church camput was had last weekend with four families* arriving at the Chain O Lakes State park Thursday night By Friday night there were 10 camping units there to enjoy the great outdoors, until the rains came during the night on Friday Saturday was overcast cloudy and sunny, and of course, hot There was some fishing, with lots of hikes and bird watching The highlight of the whole weekend was the discovery of a little humming-bird protecting her nest high in a tree branch right in the center of all the activity, just a little ways from the main camp fire. Tliecamp fire was another attraction for all, for cooking, roasting those delicious hot dogs and. of course, the sweet, sweet marshmallows Fellowship was enjoyed from around the campfire and singing wuh the wonderful accordian music by Reinhold Holhman and the voices of Trudy and all of the rest Saturday night was a community meal of shish kebobs and there were others of the parish congregation who joined us for this delicious meal Sunday morning was a little cloudy, but we all had faith, cause our church services were planned in the open, in God's church Those of the parish wo came for the services were not sure that they should come because I guess it was raining over in Ringwood.
