While there, they also met with Marge's son Bob, and her daughter Carol and husband Ron Gretzon and their children. * Marge came back to ,ilymoor with our travelers a few days visit. During \er stay, friends of Alma and Bud's, Alice and Roy Hoff­ mann, stopped by. In the course of the con­ versation, Marge, who had come from Sweden, and Alice who had come over from Germany, discovered they had both lived in Chicago in their childhood, and that Alice used to live across the street from a ukelele factory. Marge said, "Were you Alice Doephgen?" "Yes." "Do you remember Marge Johnson?" "Yes." "That's me!" Fifty years had passed since Alice and Marge were in the same class in a school in Chicago. GRADUATION GATHERING Jack Spears of Lakemoor, was the guest of honor at a party given by his mother Rosanne and grandmother Anna Brzezinski on June 6. His graduation from high school was the occasion for the family gathering. A special treat was the presence of aunt Kathy and uncle Michael from Lincoln, Neb. The only close family members missing were Jack's aunt Maryanne and uncle George from Seattle, Wash. All enjoyed congratulating Jack on his graduation and wishing him well in his future years. t RECUPERATION Jeannine Martina gave family and friends a grave concern when she suffered a heart attack. She is now home from the hospital, recuperating, and receiving tender loving care from her husband and youngest daughter Nancy. Ruth Carlin of Lakemoor is anticipating additional eye surgery. The cataract surgery performed on both eyes has given Ruth good vision, but con^plications may make more surgery., necessary. Prayers for her healing are being said. Mary Jean Pieroni graduated in a class of 70 nurses Commencement exercises were held in Roberts stadium. She was awarded a year's free membership to the A m e r i c a n N u r s e s association, professional nursing organization. Her selection was by the University of Evansville School of Nursing faculty. The young nurse is the daughter of Edward Pieroni of McHenry and the late Janice Pieroni.
