A June wedding of interest was solemnized when Miss Gladys Van Natta, formerly of McHenry, was united in marriage to William M. Kirchoff at Franklin Park. Doherty, ex- mayoi^of the city of McHenry, and a life long resident here, bid goodbye to this earthly life to seek his eternal reward, June 28, in St. Anthony's hospital in Chicago. The Illinois marriage hygiene law will be amended to make it easier, less confusing and less costly for altar-bound couples to obtain a license. The three-day notice of intent to wed- originally put into the law to curb "gin weddings" - is to be abolished. In its place will be the provision that couples may obtain their licenses on the day following the date shown on their medical certificate and anytime within a 15-day period thereafter. ~ • TWENTY-FIVE YEARS. It includes .27 mile of concrete base course and .30 mile of bituminous concrete resurfacing on Elm street from Bauer avenue and R i c h m o n d r o a d southeasterly to Fox river bridge on 120 in McHenry, The project concerns the widening of Elm street undertaken by the city of McHenry which is financing 25 percent of the cost from Motor Fuel Tax funds and the state, which is furnishing the remaining 75 percent.
