VISIT SISTERS Art and Katy Christopher drove to Wisconsin to visit with her sister and brother- in-law, Mabelle and Cliff Rasmussen of Sheridan, Wyo. They were stayii another sister and in-law, Mildred and Hamilton at Janesvilte. Diane and Gary Linstad with children, David and Sarah, also drove down from Black Creek for a chance to visit with everyone. (j VISITORS Past residents of Ringwood stopped in to visit with Walt and Doris Low this past Monday evening. Doyne and Marie Baker walked the streets of Ringwood and relived the. years that they spent in Ringwood before moving to EvansvHle, Ind 12 years ago. They visited with the Lows and asked about all the former neighbors that they had while living here. Doyne and Marie lived in the house now occupied by Chris and Sally Delby. Their children are married, except for Rex, who is soon to be home from the marines, and they have five lovely grandchildren. ^ While visiting in the area they saw several former neighbors and friends and they said to say hello to all that they didn't get to visit with. NORTHEASTERN TRAVELERS Sue' Madey, her mom Doris Sue's daughters Donna and Marcy returned last Saturday, July 18 from Boston, where they went to pick up Marcy, who had gone home with Mint Linda in June, after Otjcle Tom's wedding. Doris, Sue and Donna left early Saturday morning, July 11 and arrived in Quincy, Mass. at Linda and Bill's on Sunday, July 12. While there, they saw a lot of Boston and its history. The main things were the 'Freedom Trail' in Boston with many historical homes and sites. The most im pressive was 'The Old North Church' where Paul Revere posted the lanterns. They visited the Capital building where there was a demonstration going on at the time; very noisey but orderly. They visited Plymouth Rock and Plymouth Plantation where the 1600's and 1700's were enacted. The most impressive home that they visited was in Quincy, the home of John Quincy Adams. There were four generations of Adams that lived there and it was the home that had most of the original furnishings, so of course that made it more interesting. The cemeteries were of interest because a lot of the graves were so short. We were told that the average height of the women was 4 ft. 10 in., while the average height of the men was 5 ft. 3 in. When leaving Bill and Linda's, Doris, Suejfad girls traveled north of Bteton to Salem, where they visited the Witches dungeon and home. The Witches of the 1600's was quit a sight and story. The famous house that Nathanial Hawthorne wrote about. "The House of Seven Gables" was fantastic and one really felt like they were in that era. ThenMljey traveled the northerii~T©trt<, of Massachusetts and through some beautiful mountainous country and through New York to Niagara Falls. They spent a full day touring the falls on both the American and the Canadian side. Gorgeous and breathtaking. Then on their way through Canada headed home, they stopped at St. Catherine's and visited with friends that Doris and Walt had met while they were in Florida last winter.
