Pienkos is a graduate of Northern Illinois university and works as a graphics designer for Abbott Laboratories. A resident of Lake Bluff, Pienkos shows his work at local and mid­ west art fairs. He recently wpn ajMKhase award at the Old Capitol Art faip-^n Springfield. Pienkos works exclusively in pencil, concentrating on character studies. His work is very detailed and pain­ staking. Working Tfom photos and sketches, Jeff may put as much as 100 hours into a major work. There will be an informal reception for the artist Sunday, Aug. 2,1 to 4 p.m. in the Community room of the Opera House, to which the public is cordially invited.
