I'm not one to downplay Brooke's looks, for she is phenomenally beauti­ ful, but I cannot fathom why she must continue to do roles like this over and over again. With each film Brooke is becoming more and more typecast as a young nymph waiting to be liberated by a gorgeous hunk of male beef. In this case it's Martin Hewitt, portraying a 17-year-old high school student named David to Brooke's 15-year-old Jade. David's parents are too busy disliking e&ch other to realize that their son has been stay­ ing out all night making pas­ sionate love to this young girl, who hasn't even reached the age pf consent. Gosh, what a lesson for today's teens, huh? Jade's affair with David becomes too much even for her hip parents, so the young man is barred from seeing her for thirty dayi. In his anger, David tries to burn down Jade's house and is subsequently thrown in the nut house. But his desires | haven't been doused in the least. So the saga continues. For two hours, I sat and wondered when this film was going to end. The storyline was razor thin, the acting ludicrous at best, and Brooke rendered the kind of perfor mance the audience can looking for--purely physical So no matter how much ; dislike the film, people will still flock to see "Endless Love," only because Brooke gets to make whoopee. What a waste of beauty and poten­ tial screen talent.
