McCullom Lake Dawn Miller 385-4901 Contest Proceeds To Rescue Squads Roads Topic Of Board Meeting The first village board meeting of the month was held on Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 8 p.m., at the beach nouse. A small crowd of concerned citizens were present. One of the topics discussed were roads. The recent heavy rains have done quite a lot of damage. .Also, heavy trucks and equipment do damage to our streets. The corners of the streets are deteriorating. We can all help by not cutting the corners short, and by not driving on the weak edges of the road causing them to break up even more. If the Savel washes out of your iveways, why not sweep it back in or shovel it in. All the work you do around your home improves it and your village. Another item discussed and passed was a beach and park ordinance. Two old ordinances were amended to govern and control the park and beach areas of the village. This pertains to parking at the beach, no alcohol being allowed on the beach and park, no fishing along the shoreline in the swimming area, no animals allowed on the park or beach, the hours the beach is closed and the fines of the offenses. Some one from the audience asked about burning garbage. It is unlawful to burn fresh garbage. You can burn leaves, sticks, papers, cardboard and wood. The papers and cardboard should be burned in an open container. Board meetings can be quite interesting and informative. All village residents are welcome to attend. recovery. recovery wishes are also being sent to Daryl Laney who just came home from the hospital. Daryl is also resting and following doctor's orders.
