ESSENCE OF CHRISTMAS The idea of "The Essence of Christmas" to be presented Saturday, Dec. 5, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Nativity Lutheran church is not just to be a holiday bazaar, but a special holiday happening that carries with it the simplicity and beauty of the Christmas season. Plans are under way for a puppet presentation at 'the elf theater'. There, children of all ages will receive a Christmas message, with being entertained. Brunch and snacks will be served at "Mrs. Claus' Kitchen" to theater goers and shoppers at "St. Nick's General Store". Young people as elves will be taking tickets and ushering at the theater, along with making fresh donuts in the kitchen. St. Nick and Mrs. Claus will also be on hand that day to add more to the day. CHILI SUPPER The American Legion will be serving a chili dinner to those coming to the post home on Dec. 3 and Dec. 18. A good treat for some cold winter nights from 7 to 8 p.m. They will be holding their regular game nights on Dec. 5, and Dec. 12. You are also reminded about their Christmas food baskets that they are preparing to be distributed on Dec. 19.
