Presentation of the award was made early this fall at the society's annual dinner at Hunter's Inn in Richmond. Since her retirement from the Personnel department of the Internal Revenue Ser­ vice in 1979, Mrs. Anderson has donated at least one day a week as an Easter Seal's Volunteer at the Society's Therapy center on Washington street in Woodstock. "It's people like Norma Anderson who really make things happen for Easter Seals" stated Pesce. "As a non-profit organization, we need and appreciate every hour our volunteers con­ tribute" Pesce continued. The fun-filled day will begin with brunch at 10 a.m. Santa will drop in at (he brunch before moving on to the Christmas party in Children's Zoo, which will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The zoo's North Pole visitor has recommended that children bring their stocking to the festivities; while he is making a list and giving small presents, his helpers will be visiting youngsters with stocking stuffers of candy and fruit. Children are welcome to bring decorations for the two Christmas trees, an outdoor spruce that will hold suet cake and other bird food balls, and a traditional tree inside the barn for ornament hangings. In the spirit of the season, there will be no charge in Children's Zoo Dec. 20. There will be a contribution box for donations. Peg Loewe had to resign her position due to personal reasons. Peg has done a fine job for the last year and a half, and we know Rosie will continue the good work. The ladies discussed the children's Christmas party which will be held Saturday, Dec. 12, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the beach house, for village residents only. There will be a magic show, refreshments and some surprise guests. Each Beach Gal is asked to bring three dozen cookies to the party. Set up for this event is Friday, Dec. 11, at 9 a.m. Anyone interested in helping out, please come down to the beach house. Linda Bacon won the prize for the evening.
