Dec. 22, at Condell Memorial hospital, Liber- tyville, 111 She was 67 years old, born in Detroit, Mich. Feb. 22, 1914. the daughter of Adolph and Hortens iDeSmet) Pattyn. Mrs. Geeraerts lived in McHenry about six years, having come from Prairie View, 111., Survivors are one son, William of Streamwood. 111.; a daughter Mrs. Michael 'Nancy) Carroll of McHenry; five grand­ children and one great­ grandchild. Also surviving are two sisters. Mrs. Mary DeVos of Mesa. Ariz, and Mrs. Margaret Baker of Gurnee. III.; and three brothers. Louis Pattyn of Mt. Clemens, Mich., Albert Pattyn-<>f Blue Island. 111. and William Pattyn of Tempe. Ariz" ~ Her husband Archie J. Geeraerts preceded her in death Jan 20, 1979. The 4-11 pledge was led by Debbie Griggs. The secretary's and treasurer's reports were read and approved. At the Dec 14 meeting, all 4-Hers were instructed to bring their grandparents. If that was not possible, they were told to "adopt" a grandparent and invite them to the meeting. All the grandparents were in­ troduced. everyone sang Christmas carols together, and then played word games relating to Christmas. Refreshments followed the program. Freund, 80, 10008 Nippersink drive, Richmond, died Monday evening, Dec. 21, in Burlington Memorial hospital, Burlington, Wis. She was born Oct. 23, 1901 in McHenry, the daughter of August and Mary (Smith) Huff. On Nov. 29, 1922 in Spring Grove, she married Michael J. Freund, who survives, and they farmed in the area for many years. Mrs. Freund was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic church in Richmond and belonged to the Altar and Rosary sodality. In addition to her husband, she is survived by several riteQes and nephews. Sh^was preceded in death by a sister, Julia Freund and three brothers, William.
