Alumni games are on tap, one game for the overweight, and out of shape gang, and another for the run and gun fellows of recent years. First game is at 7 and everyone is guaranteed a fun night Let s support this fine group of people who have done*0 much for the athletic program at the high school. One should never take anything for granted in a high 5^2, *3asket*>®U game. The Law Warriors entertained the Tigers from Crystal Lake central last week. The coach of the high stepping Tigers decided to leave her high scoring forward at home, no need to play against the Warriors who had not won a conference game. Bhwo, the Warriors won by 10, and there is a red faced coach sitting down in Crystal Lake kicking herself for her stupid move. Welljhe Johnsburg Old Timers did it again Monday I School Bowling League | night. Their sixth baseball banquet was a huge success. Jerry Wakitsch and his crew dia an excellent job as was expected. The way Lloyd Freund handled the MC. chores, one would think he had his own talk show. Vince LI radio voice of the Cubs handled the e Lloyd the reaio voice at me UUDS nanaiea tne program, and John Cox from the Cub front office told of tne wonders to come to the friendly confines. Bob Logan a McHenry resident and Tribune reporter eve a short talk, along with Sox' pitcher Ross lumgarten. The star of tne show was National League umpire Bruce Foemming who reallv laid them in the aisles. S.I.H. gave us all some words of wisdom. Had the pleasure to sit with the Dick Doherty's Sr. and Ed Condon, Bob Hiller, and John Smith, it was good to see the neighborhood out on the town. Don Wattles and Twig Miller were counting the house instead of money for a change. Phil Oeffling wouldn't give a guy a discount on a loan. The Irish were well were represented, Murph from Volo in a bright green sweater. Jonn McGee, Denny and Ron Conway had a front row seat. Judge Herrmann along with Sib Whiting were holding court over in a corner. Green Street man about town Butch Meyer was trying to con Chris Wirtz out of something. No deal however. Could put a good baseball team together from some ex Warriors. Steve and Frank Cuda, Tim Martin, Gary Fairchild, Lloyd Smith, Buddy Smith, Doug Oeffling, Doug Freund, Bob Dobbertin, Scott Letzer, Tom Blake, Teddy Freund, John and Jeff Meyer and Joel Wakitsch. The courthouse gane was there, A1 Jourdan, Ed Hall, Dixie'• O'Hare, and Jon Meyer had brother Dave in tow all evening. Pete Merkel, City Recational director had a good seat, and John Bolton amd Mike DeWolfe were seen asking for seconds. Tommy Blenner, assistant coach at Marian Central was as usual all smiles. Bob Swartzloff and Norb Wolter from MCHS are regulars at the affair. Harry May did his fine job at the door of greeting everyone. And responsible for my being there, my ticket capitan Bill Oeffling. Remember me next year.. Jim Meyers, the Johnsburg nigh school A.D. presented a scholarship to Randy Wakitsch, who was unable to be present and the award was accepted by his proud father Jerry. It was a fun time and we are looking forward to Number Seven next year. Down memory lane by request we take you to the Dundee game during the 1959-60 season, when Cliff Fulton's Warriors behind Mike Creighton's 25 points and Bill OefOing's 18 defeated the Cards in a thriller 69-66.
