Rick is now married to the former Donna Raasch, and they are the parents of three boys. Also in the family are Tom, who attended Grand Rapids School of Bible and Music and McHenry County college, and Dave, who is presently a senior at Moody Bible Institute, his father's alma mater. The morning session will be from 8:50 to 11:20 a.m., while the afternoon session will be from 12:35 to 3:10 p.m. Enrollment in each session is limited to a maximum of 20 students. Transportation to and from the school will be provided by the school buses of Districts 15 and 156. A brochure to further explain the program is available at the Primary- center, 3504 W. 'T I I I I I I "An Evening of Music" will be presented at 8:15 p.m. Feb. 6 at the Woodstock Opera House by three local teacher-musicians: Carolbel Peters, pianist, Lois Veenhoven, pianist-soprano, and Phyllis Matthews, soprano. Accompanying Ms. Veenhoven will be Karen Marshall. The program will include piano and vocal solos and duets ranging from opera to musicals to nursery rhymes. Carolbel Peters, a well known Woodstock pianist, organist and teacher in the District 200 schools, holds a Masters degree in piano from Northern Illinois university. She was accompanist for the Woodstock Fine Arts Chorale, appearing in numerous concerts at the Opera House. She was pianist in the show "Broadway Sounds" and does private teaching. She will play compositions by Bach and Debussy. Lois Veenhoven, a music teacher in the Woodstock schools, holds degrees in both piano and voice from Hope college, Holland, Mich., and a Master's degree in music from Western Michigan univer­ sity. A native of Michigan, she has performed as piano and vocal soloist with various community and college groups including the role of Monica from "The Medium" by Menotti. In 1973 she won the Hope college aria contest and has played in Master 's classes held by well known pianists Harris Goldsmith and Lillie Kraus. Ms. Veenhoven also teaches privately. This will be her first public performance in Woodstock. Her vocal selections include art songs, German Lieder and modern opera. Phyllis Matthews, a native of Walker, Minn., is now a resident of Crystal Lake. She taught fourth grade at Westwood school, Wood­ stock, from 1971 to 1981. Her voice training was done while attending Trinity college, Deerfield, III . , and at the American Con­ servatory in Chicago. Currently organist and soloist at the McHenry Evangelical Free church, she has sung in many area churches and has starred as Annie in "Annie Get Your Gun" and as Maria in "The Sound of Music" with the Townsquare Players at the Opera House. Three of her selections will be "Amazing Grace", "He's Got the Whole World In His Hands" and "Old Mother Hubbard" set in a Handel style Tickets may be purchased at the door or by calling the Woodstock Opera House (815 ) 338-5300.
