Maternal grandparents are Mrs. Lou Norman of Thornton, 111. and Mr. Robert Blue of Homewood, 111. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Clayton of Marietta, Ga. are the paternal grandparents. Matthew is the name chosen by Ted and Susan Voight, 1310 Park street, McHenry for their second son. The 6 lb. 13 oz. baby boy was born at McHenry hospital Jan. 17. Secretary of State Jim Edgar has announced that over-the-counter sales of 1983 passenger car renewal stickers began Monday, Feb. 1. Edgar said the stickers will be on sale at 577 banks, 118 savings and loan associations, one credit union and approximately 600 Chicago area currency exchanges. "This year 61 banks, savings and loan associations and credit unions were added to the program," Edgar said. "In 1981, financial institutions sold over 2 million stickers, or 36 percent of all stickers sold by the Secretary of State's office." Stickers will also be on sale at four Secretary of State Motor Vehicle facilities in Chicago, and the Centennial building and Dirksen Parkway Facility drive-in windows in Springfield. The 1983 renewal stickers are orange and should be placed in the upper left corner of the rear license plate. McHenry County's Health Improvement Association (HIA) will launch its annual drive for new members at a special meeting to be held Feb. 10 at the Court House Inn at 7 p.m. in Woodstock. HIA President, Norman Liedberg, said one of the association's primary functions is to offer a unique group health benefit program. In addition, the not-for- profit McHenry County HIA is dedicated to identifying and helping solve local health care problems. It is involved in numerous c o m m u n i t y o r i e n t e d projects such as awarding scholarships to nursing students, and in 1981 it initiated a scholarship for "middle age" individuals who wish to work in the medical field.
