La Fashion Affaire Presented By Auxiliary Sunday, Mar. 21, the Auxiliary to McHenry Hospital will present "La Fashion Affaire", a brunch and fashion show fund raiser to benefit the hospital. The event will be held at Chapel Hill Country club and begins with cocktails at 11:30 a.m., followed by the fashion show at 12:30. Included on the menu of the brunch is a choice of Seafood Newburg or Pepper Steak, fresh melons, fruit, strudel, and bagels and cream cheese, starting at 1:15 p.m. The style show will feature over 45 outfits from 11 McHenry stores, offering children's wear, western gear, sportswear, and a variety of fashions for men and women. The event is planned for Saturday, Feb. 13, at the Johnsburg Community club. The festivities will begin at 8 p.m., with dancing to the music of a well-known group in the area continuing until 1 a.m. Co-chairman of this heart-filled evening, dedicated to sweethearts, is Barbara Wirtz. Tickets will be available at the door and all proceeds are going to St. John's school. For additional information, one may call 385-3959 during school hours. STAFF PHOTO-WAYNE GAYLORD Women Of The Moose McHenry Chapter 1348, Women of the Moose, met Tuesday, Feb. 2, at 8 p.m., for the regular Chapter Night meeting. The month of February is Hospital month and chairman is Effie Hertel. Enrollment was held for new member, Cecilia Buhr, who was sponsored by Janet Siemien. Two guests were present from the Harvard chapter. Wanda Kritch was present to receive the Attendance award and the Special award was given to Diane Bergdorf. Birthday gals for February were Diane Bergdorf and Mary Keer- berg. Following the meeting, a chop suey dinner with for­ tune cookies and Chinese tea was served to the 21 mem­ bers present by the Hospital contmittee. A discussion was held for two major projects. The WOTM is sponsoring a Sweetheart Dance to be held Saturday, Feb. 13, at 6:30 p.m. Chicken Kiev will be featured on the menu and the band will begin at 9 p.m. Tickets are available at the lodge and also will be sold at the door. Much planning is being done for the annual Chapter Rally Day to be held in McHenry this year, on Sunday, Mar. 7, beginning at 1:30 p.m. Reservations should be made in advance by contacting Lily Ann Baker. All members at­ tending must present their current dues receipt on entering. A social hour is also planned following the event. Marilyn Comstock Publicity Pro-tem Trade Fair Entertainment Bonnie Sheehan, coordinator of the fashion show that will be one of the highlights of the McHenry Chamber of Commerce Trade Fair, is shown with Brad Maxson, who will model children's clothing. He is the six-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Maxson. Everyone can give their loved ones a special Valentine present by treating them to a meal of pancakes, ham and all the trimmings. Tickets may be prchased at the door. For more information, call 338- 1165. Just as cost-free as the Trade Fair itself is the en­ tertainment provided throughout McHenry's ninth annual Trade Fair. Live entertainment will be of­ fered each evening. Friday night will include a contemporary country upbeat featuring a female vocalist, bass, guitar, and drums. But this is only one of the treats in store for fair- goers at 9 p.m. on opening night. Saturday night's scene will do a turn-about to the easy listening music of another musical group. Keyboard, bass, guitar and drums will produce sounds to make the feet want to find a dance floor for one hour, beginning at 9 p.m. But dancing, too, will be part of the entertainment. Aerobic dancing will be introduced at the Trade Fair several times throughout the three days. Their times will be posted in the entrance foyer. At 1 p.m. Saturday and again oi> Sunday, the apparel exhibitors will present the latest look in men's, women's and children's fashions and accessories, as well as party clothes for any occasion. The show will be coordinated and com­ mentated by Bonnie Gaza Sheehan. All of this and more will be part of the fair at Parkland school, at Ringwood road and Route 120, Feb. 26, 27 and 28. Saute 5 min. Remove from heat. Add soup; gradually stir in sherry and light cream. Add cheese and heat over low heat, stirring occasionally, until cheese is melted.
