Let's add "S" for spelling Let me tell thee, some spelling is atrocious. Dick Rahbitt, the people's choice, has been making a fuss about me not firing Alvina to a basketball game. So on Friday night we strolled in and gave him a surprise. Must say he rolled out the welcome mat. Since our high school days, there has been nothing to compare with a McHenry- Woodstock game Way back when. Wood stock was the big school in the County and every team was primed to try to knock them off Woodstock has a well- balanced team this year and McHenry is in a building stage Let's say our Warriors were no match for the Blue Streaks Friday night The Streaks had the edge in size and experience -- And they can shoot! Written before the United States was plunged into war. a stirring song by Mrs Pearl Hauswirth of Maywood. formerly of McHenry. is now more sorely needed to uphold the morale of the Army than when it was written. The song has gained popularity in army camps and women's units in the villages. Titled, 'The Boy From Illinois", the spirited tune is dedicated to the men in the 33rd division "Their intentions may be splendid but it's still against the law to send chain letters and citizens should cooperate in calling a halt to the practice."
