Valentine, Rich mond, assistant director, M c H e n r y C o u n t y Emergency Services and Disaster Agency (MCESDA) recently received his credentials as a certified Senior Fire instructor from the National Emergency Training center, Em- mitsburg, Md. To attain this Senior in structor rating necessitated his attendance for a four- week period at the Maryland facility. His attendance was partially funded by the Federal Emergency Management agency. As an example, as a part of his MCESDA duties, he is responsible for severe weather spotters in McHenry county. He is currently designing a course that will instruct police, fire, rescue and other ESDA volunteers on how to recognize tornadoes and report on other severe weather conditions.
