I'd deny it and tell what Harry said. Harvey gave us both our blessings with words he didn't find in his prayer book. There was one lady who really pulled Harvey's cork. He described her as an overbearing so-and-so. I found out the date of Harvey's birthday and sent him endearing cards with the lady's name signed. He never gave me the satisfaction of saying he received those cards. Harvey Nye spread cheer. He will be missed. However, many of his friends will smile whenever they recall his stories. Champions In McHenry Show THE CAVALIERS OF ROSEMONT Scouts Use Recycling Proceeds For Camping Appearing at the Midwest Color Guard circuit championships will be the Cavaliers of Rosemont. Wearing blue pants, orange shirts, and green silk jackets, the Cavaliers portray the "Jets" in "West Side Story". They march to "The Jet Song", "America", and "Officer Krumpke". The 1981 Midwest champions are favored to win again this year. Utilizing large drill patterns, the Cavaliers have their equipment in constant motion. Doing the unthinkable with their double rifles, their somersault tosses, and their dance steps, the Cavaliers are definitely a guard to see. The public can see them at West campus, McHenry, April 3 and 4. The Saturday event begins at 9 a.m. and the Sunday show at 19 Boy Scout Troop 131, of McHenry, will be on hand Saturday, April 3, at the recycling drive to help the McHenry County Defenders handle the items brought by the public. The drive will be held in the Market Place parking lot on West Route 120 from 9 a m to 1 p.m. The Boy Scouts, according to Scout Master Stewart Hoak, will use their share of the proceeds to finance summer camp for ap­ proximately 14 boys (ages 11-17) at Camp Lowden this summer. Two adults will also accompany the boys on this outdoor experience. Items which can be brought to the drive include newspapers securely tied (no magazines, cardboard or junk mail) ; glass containers rinsed and all metal and plastic removed; steel ("tin") cans washed and flattened; used motor oil in plastic or metal containers; and aluminum scrap of all kinds. There is also an immediate pay-back for clean all-aluminum cans brought to the drive. Organizations which would like to co-sponsor a future drive or persons having questions about preparing materials for recycling should contact the McHenry County Defenders representative at 385-8512. GRADUATE FROM DIESELSCHOOL L a s t S a t u r d a y ' s graduation was a high point for Bob Baker and Bill Dowell, upon completion of six month's training in diesel engines at Wyoming Technical Institute in Laramie. Attending the exercises were Mary, Bill and Laura Baker and Boyd and Edith Dowell. Art Baker ac­ companied the f&miiy as far as Iowa were he stopped off to visit with his mother and other relatives. Several members of the class, including Bob and Bill, received trophies for perfect attendance. Mary said they saw some field work being done in Nebraska but it was very little, and Iowa was no further along than we are here.
