EARL "MARTY" CONWAY Mr. and Mrs. Earl "Marty" Conway of McHenry will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary Sunday, June 6 In honor of this memorable oc casion, an anniversary Mass will be offered at 11 a m. in St. Patrick's Catholic church, McHenry, with the Reverend Father Petit officiating. All relatives and friends of the celebrants are.cordially invited to an Open House from 2 to 5 p.m. in the church hall, U500 W Washington street. The festivity is hosted by the couple's children, John and Carole Kicken, Ronald and Ardele Conway, Martin and "Shirley" Klapperich, Jonas and Barbara Vanderley, James and Sandy Conway, Donald and "Kathy" Murcure, Martin and Betty Conway, and Terrance and "Patricia" Bolen. The Con ways have been residents of McHenry all their lives. Marty Conway used an unusually fine tenor voice tc/entertain throughout the area for many years. He followed his father-in-law, the late Peter Weber, as custodian at Landmark school. At the time of his retirement, he headed the Parkland school maintenance staff. Mr. Con way also was a long time member of Company I, McHenry Township Fire Protection district. Mrs Conway lived most of her life in the landmark Northwestern Hotel on Main street, which was owned and operated by her parents. After the death of her mother, Nettie Weber, the Conways continued to serve roomers until moving a few years ago to McHenry Shores. . They have 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
