But in the tall, the network will introduce fresh programming concepts and talents in an attempt to boost its ratings. The accent will be on family entertainment and action- adventure series. Tentatively slated to kick off the fall '82 TV season are "Family Ties," "Silver Spoons" and "The Voyagers," all of which will cater to a young audience. "Family Ties" stars Meredith Baxter-Blrney and Michael Grose as parents of three independent chil dren. The parents play survivors of the 1960s anti-war movement who have to deal with their left-of-center atti tudes as they raise their family in the 1980s. "Silver Spoons" stars Ricky Schroder and Joel Hlggins as a son and father with a twist. The father, who's preoccu pied with playing Pac-Man, acts more like the boy, while the son, who attends military school, is more worldly. Jon-Erik Hsxum and Mesno Psluce headline in the futuristic adventures of "The Voyagers." Hexum possesses a time device that catapults him and Peluce into historical events. On the action-adventure side, there's "Powers of Matthew Star" featuring Peter Barton as an alien prince who combats evil; "Knight Rider" starring David Has- •slhoff as a sleuth who prowls around in a computer ized talking car; "Remington Steele" featuring Stefanie Zimbalist as a female private eye who hires a handsome male to do her dirty work, and "Gavilan" headlining Robert Urich as a James Bond-styled undercover agent. NBC will also beam "St. Elsewhere," a saga in the Hill St Blues" vein, "Cheers," an offbeat sitcom about a barkeeper in Boston, and "Mama's Family," a spinoff from the old "Carol Burnett Show." FLICKS -- Before they begin work on their respective NBC series. Robert Urich and Meredith Baxter-Blrney will team in "Take Your Best Shot," a CBS movie about a struggling actor airing next season 0tgt2 Computog ® Nowt/Sign OH 9 MOV* AKvoya Thorn laughing' Part 1 1:00AM 9 MOV* Ian A WMo: Doadfy Cora' Cam- fnittionBf McMiNon it in IK# Notpitoi 9 MOV* 'Atlantic Oty' Tap Rank Boaiwg bant Atlantic Oty • MOV* X*y Without Man A wdo triat to tova har hutbond. who it fabofy impritonod far tmug 1943 3:00AM 9 MOV* Prtvato Hudton, Sutan Saint Jomi, Schutk 1976. • MOV* 'lubmaiiiia DO' Story of lha livat of man who work Q Omit Raao Show O'Brian.
