The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Evo R. Manxardo of Mcllenry. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Persha of Lindenhurst, III. The new Mrs. Persha graduated from McHenry Community high school in 1976; received an associate's degree from McHenry County college; and is a medical record technician at McHenry hospital. Clearview drive, McHenry, i honor at a party held in I recently. The celebration had been delayed because the hoets, the couple's son and daughter-in-law, HeroandToni Dettmer, were living in Hawaii where he was stationed. Forty-four friends and relatives joined the celebrants on this happy occasion and enjoyed a delicious dinner, featuring an appropriately decorated cake. Special guests included Toni's parents, Jim and Kyra Boydaton, and her grandmother, Amanda Boydston, of Oak Park, 111. The former Mary Anne LaMagdeietoe and Wayne Dettmer were united in marriage Feb. 16,1957, in Mundeleta, 111. The maid of honor waa the bride's sister, Joan Francke of Pine River, Wis., who was unable to attend the silver wedding festivities. The best man was Phil Webb of McHenry and ushers were the bride's brother, Larry LaMagdeleine and a friend of the groom, Ben Sobon, both of Mundeiein. The Dettmers have resided in McHenry the past 23 years. He is a service manager for Culligan Water Conditioning, Wauconda, 111. and she is an employee of the McHenry Poet Office. Pi Alpha Chapter Honors Two Women For Outstanding Works Two very special women were honored by Pi Alpha Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi at the recent Founder's Day celebration of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. . The chapter was especially pleased to be the first organisation to honor a truly worthy person, Arlette Rieteeel of McHenry, by bestowing on her the Beta Sigma Phi Lady of the Year award. This award recognixea out­ standing women in the community for their work to promote a better life for others. Mrs. Rieteeel has been inatrumental in founding and coordinating the FISH organization that assists hundreds of families in the McHenry area each year with emergency deliveries of foed from the FISH pantry anda emergency transportation, as well as the very special delivery of Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets, bearing food and gifts for thoee hardest hit by these tough economic times. Women Of The Moose On Tuesday, June 1, the Women of the Mooee held its birthday dinner, with the main course being Chicken Kiev. After dinner, Senior Regent Janet Siemien called the meeting to order with 31 ladies in attendance. Sheila Malinowski was installed and her sponsor was Senior Regent Siemien; Kathy Hayhurst served aa sponsor pro-tem. The Special award was given to Doris Low. Discuasion of the installation of new officers took place and rehearsal for the installation was set June 8, at 7 ! >.m Inetallation of the new officers or this term will be held June 15, (members should arrive at 8:30 p.m.) Dinner will be served after the ceremony, and family and friends are invited to attend. Plans were also made for the June 19 steak fry, which the ladies are to serve the guests. Also on the agenda The chapter was so impreaaed with Mrs. Rieteeel and her work, they have decided to make the FISH organisation the benefactor of one of their major service projects for the 1982-83 sorority year. The other very special woman, Lynne Micklinghoff, a member of Pi Alpha chapter was honored by her sorority sisters aa their Woman of the Year. This award is given by the individual sorority chapters and recofiixos the one sorority sister who throughout the past year has given that little extra above and beyond the call of duty. Lynne waa undoubtedly that sister willingly and cheerfully, Tills attitude was well illustrated by her unfailing efforts in making this year's major service project, the Moon Rock exhibit, such a huge success. was the Father's Day Breakfast to be held June 20. The ladies will be ser­ ving steak and eggs, along with champagne. Lilly Ann Baker aaked for some volunteers for the Mooee Annual Picnic to be held Aug. 14.
