Diedrich. 72, of Johnsburg, dM in his residence Tuesday evening, June 8, following a long illness. He was born Sept. 1, 1606, in Johnsburg, to Fred and Barbara (Steffos) Diedrich. Mr. Diedrich lived in Johnsburg all his life; was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic church, Johnsburg; C.O.F. Court 66; and had fanned in the area 25 years, including Crystal Lake and HunUey. On July 12, 1633, in St. Peter's church, Volo, 111., he married Evelyn nee Thennes, who survives. Also sur­ viving are six daughters, Mrs. Walter (Dolores) Huffar of Viola, Wis., Mrs. Gefald (Marilyn) Thelen of Elkhorn, Wis., Mrs Lee Roy (Sally) CahUl of Phoenix, Aril., Mrs. Tom (Barbara) Mit­ chell of Salt Lake City. Utah, Mrs. Robert (JoAnn) Harrington of Phoenix, and Mrs. R a n d y ( S u s a n ) Nawalanice of Cable, Wis.; and five sons, Harold and Eugene of McHenry. EMMA FREUND Emma Freund, 1416 N. Richmond road. M c H e n r y , d i e d Tuesday, June 8, at Royal Terrace Nursing Home. McHenry. She was 90 years old, born in Johnsburg Sept. 5, 1891, the daughter of Martin and Anna (Huff) Bugner Mrs. Freund lived in the Johnsburg-McHenry area all her life; belonged to the Christian Mothers Society of St. Mary's church; and the Women's Catholic Order of Foresters. St'. Agatha Court 777 at Johnsburg. + Surviving are two d a u g h t e r s , M r s . Clemens (Alvera) Freund of Pistakee Bay and Mrs. Kathleen Simon of McHenry, two sons, Alvin of Spring Grove and Vernon of McHenry; 17 grand­ children; 15 great­ grandchildren. and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband Stephen Freund, Dec. p.m Pet* 27,1971 and a son Gerald Freund. A Funeral Mass will be conducted by the Rev. James G. Moll, 56, of McHenry, was pronounced dead on arrival at Sherman hospital, Tuesday, June 8. She was born May 9, 1927. in Elk Grove township, to Walter and Melinda (Wolter) G lander Mrs. Moll was a resident of McHenry since 1964; belonged to the First United Methodist church, McHenry and had been employed as a seam­ stress at the McHenry Manufacturing Co. since 1977. On Feb 17, 1948, in Park Ridge, IU.. she married William H. Moll, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters. Mary Louise Moll of McHenry snd Carol Jean Moll of Arlington Heights, 111.; two sons, Alan and Dale, both of McHenry; and five grandchildren. Other survivors are her mother Melinda G l a n d e r o f M t . Prospect; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Betty) Loyal of Rolling Meadows, 111.; four brothers, Walter and Richard Glander of Arlington Heights, 01., Herman Glander of Dea Plainea. 111. and Harvey Glander of Mt. Prospect. Funeral services will he held at 11 a.m. Friday, in the First U n i t e d M e t h o d i s t church, with the Rev. Thomas Lowery of­ ficiating, and interment in Woodland cemetery. V i s i t a t i o n w a s scheduled from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday, at the George R. Justen k Son funeral home. Memorials would be appreciated to the McHenry and Crystal Lake Rescue squads. HELEN KNIGHT Helen Knight, 70, a resident of McHenry for about 35 years, passed away in the Methodist hospital, Lubbock, Tex., where she had been since May 6 Mrs. Knight wss the widow of George Knight and had belonged to the Church of St. Mary of t h e A s s u m p t i o n , McHenry. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Jack Plymell, 5513 27th street, Lubbock, Tex. 79407; five brothers, John, Bernard, Donald, Walter and Eugene Nate of Lyndon Station, Wis.; one sister, Mary Brunner of Wausau, Wis.; three grand­ children; and one great­ grandchild. Graveside services were conducted by the Rev William Hanley, Pastor of St. Elizabeth C a t h o l i c c h u r c h , ' Lubbock, at 4 p.m! Arrangements were handled by Rix Funeral Directors, Lubbock. MARY MONTGOMERY Mary , K. "Mon­ tgomery, daughter of the late George and Mathilda Meyers, psssed away recently^ Forest Park, 111. She was 66 years old, born in January of 1667. Mrs. Montgomery had lived in McHenry for many years prior _ to. moving to Forest Park. FRIDAY, JLNKII. IW| Survivors are four daughters, Beverly Montgomery, Gwenf dolyn Paiolini, Annetta McBride and Margaret French; 6 grand? ehildren, including Dennis Concannonj whom she raised; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Blanche Egan. She was preceded in death by her husband John A. Montgomery and a daughter Jacqueline Concannon. Funeral services were held in St. Bernsdine church and burial was in Queen of Heaven cemetery, Tinley Park, 111.
