Visitation was from 3 to 5 and 7 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the Freund funeral home, Wonder Cake. • RAYMOND COLBY - A former McHenry resident, Raymond L. Colby, died Saturday, #une 12, in his home, 120 Lawrence •avenue, Woodstock. He was bom June 28, 1886, in Hoopeston, 111., the son of George and Emily (Slaften) Colby. On Sept. 17, 1816, in McHenry, he married the former Esther Grace Sattem, who survives. Also surviving are four sons, Walter of Sunnyland, 111., Chester of Round Lake, 111., George of Woodstock, 111. and the Rev. Raymond Colby, Jr. of Yakima. Wash.; two daughter, Mrs. Paul (Shirley) Ziegenbein of Barnesville, Minn, and Mrs. George (Esther) Seibel of Woodstock; 27 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, at the First United Methodist church of Woodstock, with the Rev. Ben Sattem, Rev. Gordon Shafer and Rev. Raymond Colby, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Oakland cemetery, Woodstock. Visitation was scheduled after 4 p.m. Wednesday, at Schneider-Leucht- Merwin & Cooney funeral home, Woodstock. Memorials are requested to the First United Methodist church or the Woodstock Rescue Squad. EDWARD LA COURSE Edward M. La Course, 7705 Hickory, Wonder Lake, died Thur sday, June 10, in McHenry hospital. He was 72 years old, born Aug. 17,1808 in Chicago, the son of David and Antonia (Roy) La Course. Mr. La Course was a retired crane operator for U. S. Steel and belonged (o the Wonder Lake Senior Citizens club. On May 28, 1834, in Crown Point, Ind., he married the former Sofhia Petrositis who survives. Other survivors are two sons, Edward J. of Chicago and Wayne of Riverdale; one daughter, Mrs. Eileen Ferguson of South Holland, 111.; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandson. Also surviving are three brothers, Raymond and Lucien of Paw Palv.' Mich, and Leroy of Chicago; and t^ sisters, Mrs. Florence Petrositis Lehigh Acres, Fla. and Mrs. Lav< Clinton of Chicago. Espey of Florida, for merly of McHenry and Wonder Lake, died Thursday, June 10, at the home of his daughter in Rolling Meadows, 111. He was 69 years old, born in Washington, Pa., Feb. 12, 1813. Mr. Espey had been a member of i he McHenry Police force 22 years, since 1958 and was Chief of Police from 1968 to 1978 when he retired. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ted (Marge) Loesch of Rolling Meadows; a son Butch of Elburn, 111.; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Marie F. Espey April 26, 1876, and one grandchild. A Mass of the Resurrection was conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, at St. Colette Catholic church, Rolling j Meadows and burial was in St. Michael the Archangel cemetery, Palatine, 111. Immediately after launching your boat, you must drive your cartedt to the parking lot You must have a boat permit displayed on your boat, which can be purchased at the clerk's office on Wednesdays from 2 through 8:98 p.m. Only people who rent a boat post can leave their boats down at the tench. Fishing is not alleged along the shore darignated for the swimming area. No animals are allowed on the park and teach. Any animals found running at large may be Impounded by the police. The park and beach areas are dooed from the hours of 18 p.m. to 8 a.m. These are Just a few of the rules. If everyone would obey them, our beach and park would be a safe and en joyable place to be for all.
