On "One Life to Live," three marriages among cast members have taken place during the past 18 months.--Wayne MnwV (who plays Johnny Drum-; mond) popped the ques tion to Andrea Evans-MSs- sey (ex-Tina Clayton) during a lunch break in New York's Central Park. On the same show. macho waiter Marcello Sal- ta (Stephen SchneUer). fell in love with ex-prosti tute Katrina Karr, played by demure Nancy Snyder. On the eve of the characters' scheduled wedding, Mar- cello learned of Katrina's past and he fled town. Less than a year later, however. Stephen and Nancy went through with their own wedding Recently Gsrald Antho ny. who plays ex-pimp Marco Dane, married his castmate Brynn Thayer. who plays ex-nun Jenny Nancy Frangione and Chris Rich Janssen. Although both had been on the show for three years, their charac ters' paths never crossed. However, immediately after the actors1 real-life wedding, the "OLTL" writ ers hurriedly created a sto ryline creating romance between these too dissimi lar characters. If signing a soap opera contract is better than going to a matchmaker, playing on-screen lovers most often has an aphro disiac effect. On "Another World," the evil Cecile Frame (Nancy Frangione) seduced Sandy Cory (Chris Rich) into marriage. But in real-life, Nancy had no problem in making Chris her own. "He was looking for love and he found it." laughs Nancy, who left a 12-year romance with a high school sweet heart for Chris. ©1#ea Compuiofl
