The bride wore a gown of white chiffon, fashioned with a Queen Anne neckline, fitted bodice, gathered waist, and pleating to give an apron effect around to the baa, forming her train. For the total effect, she carried a bouquet of white silk roees and baby's breath, accented throughout with the colors of her attendants' gowns. The maid of honor was Laurie Bianchi of McHenry. Bridesmaids were a sister of the bride, Mary Christy of Woodstock, Peggy Freund cuffs of of the siflc flowers were made and arranged by a friend of the bride, Diane Frantz of McHenry. The best man was a brother of the groom, Mark Mieritz. Groomsmen were Don Smith, George Chase and Derrick Christy. An uncle of the groom, Bill Wiser, served as usher. The mother of the bride choee s floor length, coral chiffon gown, accented down the front with tulip edging. A floor length, teal green gown, with a pleated A-Mne skirt and chiffon cape was the choice of the groom's mother. One hundred and ten friends and relatives gathered in the Waterfront room of Raymond's restaurant, Johnsburg, to honor the newlyweds. The new Mrs. Mieritz is employed by McHenry hospital and works in the Dietary department. Her husband is an apprentice body man for Mitchell Auto Body, McHenry. Exchange Wedding Vows In Iowa MR. AND MRS. CURTIS LANGILLE ISLAND HONEYMOON - Newly married Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Langllle are residing at 1018 Boone Creek court, McHenry, following a two-week wedding trip that encompassed the islands of Hawaii, Oahu and Maui. The former Tamre Jean Jensen, daughter of Gerrl Jensen, 4804 Parkview, McHenry and I>eonard Jensen of Naswauk, Minn., exchanged promises of marriage with Curtis Stuart Langllle,-son of Mr. and Mrs. C. F. Langille, 300 N. Ridge road, McHenry, on June 5. Father Edward Schott officiated at the 2:30 p.m. ceremony in the Church of St. Mary of the Assumption, McHenry. A reception was held for ISO friends and relatives at Borre's Crescent Bay Landing. The bride is a graduate of McHenry Community high school and has assumed the duties of homemaker. The bridegroom graduated from Glenbard West high school In 1972; received a degree from North Florida State university in IS7S; is currently the owner of C.S.L. The bride's gown of silestra and Venice lace featured a high neckline, yoked bodice and cap sleeves, trimmed with Venice lace. The modified empire-line was accented by a capelet back and cathedral train. An illusion veil of Venice lace completed her special look. Attending the bride as matron at honor was Mrs. Ruth Keppler of Fayette, Iowa. She was attired in a primrose satin gown with a high neckline and cap sleeves, enhanced with schiffli lace. Mercy college, Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Illinois State university, Normal, 111. She is a first grade teacher for District B., Bloomingdale, 111. PWP Invites Single Parents To Holiday Picnic-Fun Night Single parents are invited to the general meeting of Parents Without Psrtners, Friday, July 2, at 7:90 p.m., at the home of Deloree Wines, 7812 Oakwood drive, Wonder Lake. In honor of the country's celebration, the July general meeting will Include a holiday picnic and fun night. Food will be provided with a small charge per person, and each one is requested to bring a lounge chair, bug spray and beverage. Mission Team Plans Activities The June U.M.W, Mission Team (Executive committee) meeting was well attended, and a great portion of the meeting was spent in reviewing this year's activities so fsr, and planning for the Fall season. July 7 is the deadline for making reservations to attend the Drive-In day at the School of Missions. Anyone intending to go must contact Robbi Hurckes promptly. There will be no Mission Team meeting in July, however, in order to have the next Mission Team meeting before the September circle meetings Marcia Mary Ball Sets **Quilting Bee At the June "Luncheon Out" of the Marcia Mary Ball Circle, it was decided that members and friends would meet at the First United Methodist church Tuesday, July 8, at 10 a.m., to work on the king size quilt the circle ia making. Those who can stay are requested to bring a sand wich along, because everyone is anxious to get the quilt finished as it will beheld Monday, Aug. 30, at 9:30 a.m. in the church parlor. All members of the Mission Team are asked to be nreeent. The "All Church Rummage Sale" is scheduled for Sept. 23, 24 and 25. Childbirth Film Showing Even though the birth of a child is a normal, natural function of women, there seems to be an aura of mystery surrounding the birth process. It is felt by McHenry County Childbirth Educators that expectant parents should be prepared for this special event by knowing what to expect and by learning techniques to help cope with labor and delivery. All expectant parents are urged to plan on viewing the award winning film, "Nan's Class" at the McHenry Public Library, 1011 N. Green street, st 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 8. In this film one can share the emotions and ex citement of five couples and a single parent as they attend La maze classes, %; : r r - . go into labor and delivery, and finally return for a reunion class as new families.
