He is currently a minister of the gospd t in the Christian school Delayed Honeymoon In July Planned By Newly Wed Hucks A wedding trip in July to Toronto, Canada is In the honeymoon plans of newly married Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence John Huck III. The bride is the former Margaret Mary Manley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Manley of Chicago Heights, 111. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Harry Kane. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Huck, Jr. of McHenry are the parents of the bridegroom. He is the grandson of Mrs. Lawrence Huck, Sr. Father Thomas Crawford officiated at the 3 p.m. Nuptial Mass on June 26, in St. Kieran church, Chicago Heights. Appropriate music was provided by organist, Mrs. Joan Hair, and "Ave Maria" was sung by the groom's sister Theresa Huck. Some of the students from the bride's first-grade class attended the Wedding Mass and three former students presented the gifts during the offertory. Susan and Joseph Sharp of McHenry served as junior usherette and usher. The bride wore a gown of white tissue crepe, featuring a bodice elegantly adorned with Venice lace and pearls, and a cathedral train. A full vdl, trimmed with lace, was secured to a beaded headpiece. Serving the bride as her maid of honor was Elizabeth Manley of Chicago Heights. Bridesmaids were Nancy Dockry of Green Bay, Wis.: Helen Manley and Dawn Slowinski, both of Chicago ; and Theresa Huck of Crystal Lake. Attendants were gowned for the occasion in mauve chiffon highlighted with lace. Handling the duties of best man was Lawrence Oakford of Chicago. The new Mrs. Huck graduated from Marian high school, Chicago Heights; Clarke college, Dubuque, Iowa; and is presently a teacher. Her husband, s graduate of Marian Central Catholic high school, Woodstock; snd Lor as college, Dubuque; is employed by the State of Illinois, Department of Conservation. Special music was performed by Lee Steinsdoerfer, soloist. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aidan McGibbon, 7309 Chesterfield rosd, Crystal Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Murgatroyd, 303 W. Nippersink, McHenry, are the parents of the bridegroom - ; The bride wore a Victorian style, white eyelet gown, with s net bodice, short, set-in sleeves, eyelet ruffled hemline, and a train flowing from a bustle. Her waist was encircled with s lace sash and her hands covered with wrist-length gloves Gracing her neck was an antique white cameo, borrowed from a friend, Claire Brown. To complete the look, she carried a nosegsy of lace ribbon, Queen Anne lace, white daisies, stephanotis, white rose buds, snd bsby's breath; and a ring of stephanotis, lily of the vaUey and baby's breath adorned her hair. A college roommate of the bride, Karen Benson of Aurora, III., served as her maid of honor. Brideemaids were a high school friend, Ann Sullivsn of McHenry; snd Sisters of the bride, Beth McGibbon of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Kenneth (Kstie) Rorheim of Palatine, 111. and Cyndy Bowers of Woodstock, 111. Attendants were attired in floor- length, calico blue and white print dresses, ruffled at the neck and hemline. Their heads were crowned with s wreath of white lace ribbon, lavender bachelor buttons, light blue delphiniums, stephanotis and baby's breath. Attending the groom were high school friends, Matt Rittorao, Ben Swantz of McHenry and Dale Zamastil of Longmont, Colo.; and brothers of the groom, Jim ahd Steve Murgatroyd of McHenry. Ushers were another brother of the groom, Dave Murgatroyd of McHenry and the bride's brother, Tom Bowers of Crystal Lake. All wore silver gray tuxedos. The mother of the bride choee a lavender, street-length dress and her corsage was of deep pink bachelor buttons, 'sterling silver' rose buds, lavender daisies and baby's breath. At 5 p.m., 125 guests attended a reception at the Crystal Woods Golf club, Woodstock. Joyce Rivera and Mary Murgatroyd, sisters of the groom, circulated the guest book and cut the wedding cake. Special gueets were the bride's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lines of Venice, Fla.; and the groom's grandmother, Mrs. A. R. Rathnow of Ingleside, 111. Upon their return from a wedding trip to Door county, (Sister Bay) Wis., the newlyweds will reeide at 2808 Beachview, McHenry. The couple both graduated from McHenry Community high school in 1877. She attended Weetern Illinois university, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work, in 1881, and is presently a caseworker for Pioneer Center. Heggdand, 1701 N. High view avenue, McHenry, recently spent two weeks in Bdlingham, Wash, at the home of their daughter Lorraine Shinkle. While there, they had the pleasure of visiting with their two grand­ daughters, Linda and Kathy; grand­ son Dave; and four great­ grandchildren, Erin, Amy, Robin and A highlight of the stay was a dinner at the Oyster Creek Inn In Bdlingham, honoring the couple on the occasion d their sixtieth wedding anniversary. The celebrants were married June 17, 1882, in Chicago, and moved to McHenry in 1884.
