With inter-divisional play concluded, the eastern ^division ballclubs squared off against one another as they did to start the season. Mar Ray Costumes still is in the lead with 5m, but Uttle Chef is only 4 point behind with 51 and Christie Group has SOVfc. Kathys and Top Deck are tied with 454, followed by McHenry Floral 44, Fox Hole Pizza 39 and Nowak Con­ struction 33. The results of the 27 hole individual class tournament showed that in Class A Dorie Freund led with 106. Nancy McAuliffe was a close second with 106 and Marilyn Ehlen was third with 109. The results in Class B were Mary Jane Nowalk 100, Ruth Vines 106, and Nancy Jeffers 111. In Class C the winners were Phyllis Grossrenard 94, Sharon Delahanty 100 and Carmen Mapulo 107. Since this reporter was a guest of a Divot Doll for their Hullabaloo day, these statistics were gathered by Ruth Vines. She also reported that both Lesley Meyer and Wanda Gerhke were justly proud of one putting five of the nine holes and that Maureen Doherty sunk a long approach shot beautifully in the cup on No. 11. John's Sport Stop, the eastern division leader, intpraved its record to 10-2 with a , 24-11 thrashing over Decker Construction. Tbe Sport Stop erupted for 15 runs in the drat inning then cruised to their sixth straight victory. Bob 'Bubba" Hlousek led the well balanced hitting attack (27 fits) going s-for-6 including a double, his fifth home nm of the season, four runs scored, and five RBI's. Uousek, who broke into the division's Top 10' this week, now has 10 hits in his last 11 times at bat! Bernie MacKrowski followed in the hit parade going 4-for-S with four runs scored, while Rick Waldtsch, Jerry Brodin, Ron Lentine, Joe Rajcevich, and Fred Popp followed with three hits each. Popp's performance in­ cluded a pair of doubles, Lentine had one, Wakitsch had a triple with four, runs sewed, and Brodin had two doubles, home run No. 6, and five RBI's Brett and Bob Decker each went 2- for-4 with two RBI's to pace the losers with Brett including s hustling double. Jim Pinkstaff reached base three times scoring each time, and Jim Grabowski played well in center field. Scott Hardy and Bill Thomas were the heavy hitters for the Old Bridge as Hardy went *-for-5 with his first homer of the season and Thomas also went 4-for-5 with a double and triple. The duo also combined for seven runs scored, six RBI's, and several nifty defensive plays in left field and at shortstop, respectively. Winning pitcher Ed Thomas helped his own cause with a 2-for-3 per­ formance with three runs scored and teammates Steve Dopke and Chuck Dicker also had two hits Kent Blake added three runs scored Bob Buss had a fine game at first base for Phylly's Inn and led the of­ fense with two solid hits and a pair of RBI's. Favorite Sport finished the season with a 13-2 record, while Wally's Bike Haven was second st 10-5 and Candyman's Closet was third with a 9-6 record. Adams defeated McHenry State Bank 26- 10 as Amy Siok tossed a two-hitter and got relief help from Stacy Johnson. Dawn Murphy belted her first two by homers of the season, Siok had a grand slam, and Johnson lashed out a roundtripper herself. Michelle Wagner and Kim Mullen also had fine nights at the plate each girl going 3-for-3. Carlee Casperson had a triple to lead State Bank and Sheri Ket- chum collected the other hit. Adams defeated league champion McHenry Favorite Sport i§4 in a game MfidflTettriy due to rain. This time it < was Johnson's turn to get the win, while Siok earned the save. Dana Diedrich, Dawn Mur­ phy, Kim Mullen, Erin Dass, Mary Etheridge, Jeannine Stojonic, and Siok collected hits for the winners. Shiela Roy and Karen Kessler shared mound duties for the league champs. Jenny Rourke with two hits and Terry O'Brien, Kristy Justen, Roy, snd Kessler collected hits for Favorite Sport. Adams also defeated Don's Dairy Frost 17-2 behind Amy Siok who chalked up the win. Kim Mullen had another fine game with three straight hits.
