Neighbors said they have decided to take action against the vandals who have been harassing residents of the community. The famous lotus beds of Grass Lake are now in full bloom and are being viewed by thousands of oeoole every week who come from all parts of the country to view these and enjoy their beauty. The natural flowering lotus beds at Grass lake are one of three of these famous beds in the world and make this region a mecca for flower and nature lovers from the middle west. Severs, nee Drucks, 49, a resident of west Lake county and Round Lake for the past 34 years, former resident of Brookfiekl, 111., and well-known in the McHenry area, died at Lake Forest hospital Monday, July 26. She was born in Chicago Heights, 111. Aug. 2, 1932. Mrs. Severs had been a lab technician at Baxter labs over seven years; was a member of Lakes Region American Legion Post Ladiee Auxiliary; and the Round Lake'a Men's Club Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving are her husband Robert (Whitey) Severs of Round Lake; a daughter, Mrs. William (Debra) Caahmore of Antioch, 111.; two sons, Dale of Lindenhurst and Craig of Fox Lake; one grandson, Craig Severs, Jr. and four granddaughters, Courtni, Sara, Michelle and Jannae. She was born in Chicago March 8,1863, the daughter of Raymood and June Fuller of McHenry. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Larson of Ringwood. have anxiously swaited word from him. Private Larson is a graduate of the Woodstock Com munity high school and was employed at the Alemite prior to his induction.
