t Blue Cross info center offers a wealth of help WOODSTOCK -- A unique health information enter sponsored by the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Plan of Illinois will visit the McHenry County Fair beginning August 4. Ihe Blue Ooss and Blue Shield Mobile Information Center has been designed to assist people with benefit questions and claim problems regarding Medicare and private health insurance. This "office on wheels" is also a valuable source of health education publications. The MIC offers free booklets on such topics as physical fitness, nutrition, lifestyle, alcoholism, drug abuse and cost containment. The Mobile Information Center will be open to the public between 10 am and 5 p.m. Aug. 44, parked on the fairgrounds. Special prices for senior citizens on two days are part of the considerations being given fair visitors this year. Also, season tickets are available that represent a substantial savings compared with the daily ticket price, says Fair Secretary Dorothy Schultz. The McHenry County Fair is being presented Aug. 44. The fairgrounds are at Illinois 47 and Country Club Road, on the east side of the dty. Free parking on the grounds, plus free grandstand admission for all attractions, are other special considerations provided fair-goers. Senior citizens days are Wednesday and Thursday of the fair. The admission is $1, and showing the Medicare card is all that's needed to qualify for the reduced rate, Schultz says. Children 8 to 12 are admitted for $1.
