The five-day ex travaganza serves as a showcase for the county's 1,200 4-H members. Their peers have picked new 4-H king and queen WOODSTOCK - The 1962 4-H king and queen candidates have been named, and the winners will be announced Thursday night, Aug. 5, at the McHenry County Fair. The finalists are chosen by the McHenry County Cooperative Extension Council and then the county's 1,200 4-H members vote for the king and queen from among the nominees. Queen finalists include Judy Bohart, 17, Huntley; Vicky Schoenbeck, IS, Richmond; Ann Perry 16, Harvard; Sandy Slater, 17, Harvard; Betsy Payne, 16, Woodstock, and Lu Ann Lagerhausen, 16, Woodstock.
