Livestock auction is new this year at county fair WOODSTOCK -- Something new is being added to the 1962 McHenry County Fair -- a livestock auction. Lloyd Getzelman, auction committee chairman, said "a sale of champions" is planned as a part of the auction. The auction will begin at noon Saturday, Aug. 7, with the sate of sheep, followed by the sale of cattle and hogs. But at 1:30 p.m. the auction committee will sell all cham­ pions -- sheep, beef, swine, chicken, duck, goose and pen of rabbits. "We are expanding the auction to add the five champions in addition to the beef, sheep and swine champions," Getzelman said. Last year the auction netted $115,000.
