Village Holds Board Meeting The first board meeting of this month was held Tuesday evening the tenth Many topics were discussed and the IMS road resolution was passed. Ordinance No. 198 was passed; this amends Ordinance No. 2 which provides for the regulation of the retail sale of alcoholic liquor in the village. Boaters have been ignoring the beach rules and boats have been spotted in the swimming area. If you mast boat or fish, please do so outside of the swimming area which is dearly marked with signs. This is for swimmers' protection, and most the swimmers sre our chihfcen. Also, hosts that are launched off our^ beach must display a boat sticker. The fee is 13 for the first year and $1 for every year after. These stickers can be purchased st the village clerk's office at 4809 W. Park View during hours Wednesday afternoons from 2 through 6:30 p.m. If this is not s convenient dsy or time, please call 385-2211 and make other arrangements. THE LADIES PICNIC The Ladies of the Lake held their annual picnic Thursday afternoon at Dorothy Weber's house. Seventeen ladies enjoyed a luncheon which in cluded salads, casseroles, baked ham and desserts. Annie Lehnert was back after a long abaence and looks great. Harriet McNamara came baa and is once again in good health. The grand prize winner of the games played was Ann Shermach and she received s beautiful flower arrangement made hy the talented Bea Brown.
