Hiller, which has paced the western division all season, racked up its 14th and 15th straight wins without a loss by recording a 7-0 forfeit win over Peer Inn and a hard fought 13-8 game over second place St. Regis Pub. Hiller can conclude its regular season schedule on a perfect note Thursday when it entertains D It E Millstream 76 in a 7:00 p.m. contest. Hiller overcame the absence of three key regulars - Jim Meyers, Myron Bentz, and Jeff Meyers - to defeat St. Regis for the second time this season. Tied 5-5 at the end of three inpings, the winners took the lead for good in the bottom of the fourth as Mark Schultz and Bill Ganik drove in the go- ahead runs, then put the contest out of reach with a big six-run fifth inning. In that fifth inning, some daring baserunning helped put Hiller over the top. With Wayne Frantz coaching at third base. Hiller scored three runs all the way from first base on hits through the infield. For Cullman, it was her second championship in three weeks as she had earlier captured the Lake County Ladies ' Golf Tournament. At MeHenry. Cullman fired a 81 followed by a 78 for a two day total of 159.
