This year, the ride will again be honored with baseball personalities Rick Rueschel and Larry Bittner, along with well known TV and radio personality, Len Dressier. With Rescue 50 as the rescue squad's main fund raiser, generous donations are asked for this worthy cause. Those interested in riding or who would like more information, should call one of the following numbers, Jim Wright 385-9448, Judy Mazrin 344-2929 or Richard Short 385- 7180. The Harmony Snowmobile club will hold its eighth annual Rescue 50 this year. A goal of $15,000 has been set for the 1983 50-mile snowmobile marathon. Jim Wright, chairman for the three years, has announced that this year's event will be held Jan. 9, with a snow date of Jan. 16. As in the past, the public is invited to ride in the marathon along with many of the members of the local snowmobile clubs and the sheriffs patrol. Last year, the most memorable Rescue 50 to date, was run at a chilling 25 degrees below zero.
