March 26th, 1983 will be the spring picnic and October 29th, 1983 will be the fall get together. "Minutes of the meeting were taken by Lauretta Homo due to the absence of Pauline Pries. While Lauretta and Roy Homo were McHenry visitors this past summer, some exciting souvenirs were sent back with them from the McHenry State Bank - everything was greatly appreciated. "Roy Homo then took over the meeting for the prizes. A group of Ice cream spoons were won by Florence Rothermel, Sam Schmunk and Loren Rothermel. Money winners were Lucky Loren Rothermel, Elaine reund (who picked her own num- ^ ber), Eleanor Creutz, Lew Belshaw, Martin Spoolstra and twice winner Sam Schmunk and Cy Young. "Any McHenry visitor is always welcome and many fond memories are exchanged during the day. "Sincerely, "The Committee, "Bill and Pauline Pries "Eleanor Creutz "Elaine Gray "Lauretta and Roy Homo "John and Shirley Woodward" Glad to hear those McHenry transplants had a good time. Am won dering if Coach Stringer made it to the shindig. You will remember he is planning to live to the ripe old age of 100 years. I'm planning on going to his birthday party when he hits the mark. Noted Dick Rabbitt's column mentions my appearance at basketball games. I'll try, Dick. Had troubles that prevented my climb to the press box for football games. When I see long lists of help wanted ads, it makes sense to get into job training with a bang. This will do. Now to see if I can knock out a Thanksgiving column.
