Teachers Hold Pro-Advent Exchange At a recent faculty meeting of St. Mary's Elementary C.C.D. teachers, a pre-advent exchange of classroom and family icms took place. Ideas for the senses of sight, touch, smell and taste were introduced as a way of bringing Advent with its joys and expectations to life in the home and the classroom. ' The meeting was closed with the traditional French custom of the breaking of the "Christ Bread" (Brioche). As the bread was passed and broken, a wish for the joy and peace of Christ was extended to each one. Miss Peggy Bowman, area director of Religious Education, participated in the celebration by accompanying the group on her guitar as they sang the song Miss Bowman wrote, "Broken and Shared". Letters at office were issued on October 27. 1982, to McHENRY STAtE BANK, 3510 W. Elm Street, McHenry, Illinois 60050 whose attorney is Donald W. TruckenbrtxL 4106 W. rstal Lake Road, /, Illinois 60050. Claims against the estate may he filed in the office at the Clerk of the Court at McHenry County Courthouse, 2200 N. Seminary Avenue, Woodstock, Illinois 60050 Know ^Weather How is a stationary front formed? What causes most of them in faO and winter? A stationary front nsnaOy results from the movement of a cold air mass into a mass of warmer air. Instead of forcing a passage and break ing through, sometimes the cold front's winds wiH Mow paraBel to the janctatc of the or Willi representative, or both, wimin 6 months from the date of issuance of letters and any claim not filed within that oeriodis barred. Conies at a claim filed with the Clerk must be mailed or delivered to the The cold air mass thus stands still-as far as forward movement is concerned. The warm air mass sends its winds parallel to the jnnctve line (the stationary front), hot in exactly the opposite direction of those of the cold In summary, the station ary front is set op when a warm and cold air mass meet and neither is strong enongh to dissipate the other. Deepest sym pathy goes to his wife Terri, his four daughters and 12 grandchildren from a grieving community. Tom's great concern was for the health of his wife who had been under doctor's care for some time. And now her strength is bong tested. Having been told that .Tom was improving and out of intensive care, Alma Hueckstaedt had gotten a large get well card for him, to be signed by Tom's mail friends. News of his demise came to Alma as a neighbor was signing the get well card: As Herodotus statedT '̂Neither snow, nor rain, nor heat...stays these couriers from the swift completion of Jheir appointed rounds". And so it always was with Tom. His smile, his willingness to do more, his ability of knowing when and how to get in touch with "his " people, means that Tom Wiles will always have a special place in our memory bank. ALUMINUM PAINT THIS TIME Some person or persons, sometime between 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13 and noon on Sunday, Nov- 14, had some aluminum paint on clothing or body. Are there any parents in the area aware of this silver type automotive paint appearing on hands or clothes of young people? Logic states that thfc hands were used to again cover the repainted mural on the McHenry Nunda Public Library exterior wall. This time there was no mixture of paint, rubble and tar as the last time. Are the per- petuators saying "Please catch us?" On the top of my most wanted list, is to be able to reach the individuals who have such low opinion of themselves that it is necessary to destroy something of value in our community. Who are you and why are you? SCHOLASTIC HONORS Many of bur area's Junior high students have made the Parkland honor roll. Among eighth graders are Jerry Bennett, jogging Denise Brizzi, Chris Glus, Steve Godt and Terri Godt. Seventh graders include Laurie Dornbush who draws horses so well, Rob Huffman who enjoys Shel Silverstein and Tina Krumweide from Fritzsche Estates.
