This is the fifth series to be sponsored by the Environmental Education committee for the McHenry County Conservation district, the McHenry County Defenders, and the McHenry County Audubon society. On Jan. 30. highlights of the film "Roaming California's Coast Range" will include a Dipper's nest behind a waterfall-as well as scenes of other plants and animals that live on the steep terrain between the rugged Pacific Coast and the higher Sierra Nevadas. * On Feb. 20, the film "Wild and Wonderful Alaska" will show an outdoorsman's paradise--- over a quarter of a million square miles of nearly inaccessible wilderness where bald eagles fish beside bears. The final „ film on March 20, "American Heartland: the Great River Story", will follow the Mississippi from the Delta to its beginnings in Minnesota, showing its wildlife including alligators, loons, moose, and timber wolf.
