But GTE had no desire to remain on hold. Under the agreement, the village is protected from liability for any damage claims stemming from telephone operations. In addition, it will receive about $400 more each year in compensation. In turn, GTE has permission to place poles, wires and facilities on municipal property. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Ruth Henderson.
