Miss Frances Vycital of McHenry was chairman of the arrangements and was assisted by Mrs. C. W. Goodell. McHenry is set for the staging of one of the most interesting county meetings of Legionnaires held in many months. The meeting will be held at the Bridge Tavern. Four speakers will appear on the program. Captain Billy Rossdeutcher, assistant warden at Joliet prison, will tell of prison life at the state penitentiary. Lieutenant Donald Spangler of Fort Sheridan will be another speaker. The annual ski jump was held at the Cary slide. FORTY YEARS AGO (Taken from the files of January 21, 1943).
