Children's librarian, Mrs. Sue Miller, has led the children through a wide variety of new and exciting activities. The children have heard regular story presentations,' but they have also learned new songs and song games, had a chance to participate in question and answer learning activities, have made folded paper hats, finger puppets and hand tracings and watched films and filmstrips of some of their favorite stories. All in all, it has been a very successful first story hour program. It has been so successful that a new session will start the week after this one ends. The new program will begin the week of March 14 and, because of the demand, three sessions will be offered each week for six weeks. The story hour sessions will meet Monday at 10 a.m., Thursday at 10 a.m. and Thursday at 1:30 p.m. Each child will be enrolled in one session and each session will be limited to 20 children. Children, age 3 to 5 and not yet in school may attend, but advance registration vis required. The library should be contacted to register a child only during the week of March 7 through 12. Registration preference will be given to Johnsburg library district residents.
