Walz TUBE SCOOPS -- You've all heard about prolific series developer Aaron Spelling's master plan to bring back "Charlie's Angels" to ABC, but with a different twist. The show will be called "Velvet" and will feature four "angels" -- private eyes who pose as aerobics instruc tors. They answer to someone called Velvet, who, unlike Charlie, will be seen on camera. Spelling has some other intriguing series pilots in development. According to a source in his production company, Spelling is working on an offbeat series called "Starstruck," which is about two actors who play TV private eyes in a series that gets canceled -- so they decide to become private eyes for real. Another project, "Boys in the Mailroom," concerns the ladder-climbers at a major film studio who start out in the mailroom and work their way up. There's also talk of spinning John James' "Dynasty" character Jeff Col by into an independent series. Spelling may also try and rework Arthur Hailey's classic novel "Hotel" into a series. MORE HOT STUFF -- Don Taffner is putting togeth er a CBS pilot called "Fox," the story of a policeman who is also the patriarch of his family. It would be set in the tough Hunts Point section of the Bronx. Also for CBS Taffner is working on "Fine Romance," the story of two professional people who are set up for a date to please their nagging parents, but end up falling in love. For ABC he's putting together a pilot, "Let There Be Love," about a confirmed bachelor who falls for a mother with several kids. If "Happy Days" finally ends its 10-year run, co-star Marion Ross won't be without work for long. She's signed a sweetheart deal with ABC for movies including "I Have No Daughter" about a mother whose daughter returns from the terrorist underground and "Company Manners," about an older woman who runs a business and has a younger lover. There's also a sitcom series in the works for Miss Ross called "Never Say Die." ©1063Compuk>g
