Island Lake Christened Baby ' Thanks to the generosity of many individuals-food drives by our local Churches-the efforts of two Girl Scout Troops-and the large food drive by the 600 employees of one of McHenry's industries, who also donated all those turkeys, so FISH was able to deliver B*r,50 arch 27. ) The food collections from all these sources were (jjrought to Saint Patrick's hall and the baskets packed by FISH volunteers, joined by some new packers and new drivers, and all help gratefully received. A young man representing the Newman Club at McHenry Community College worked energetically. As usual all newcomers expressed their surprise and ad miration for the generosity and co operation of all concerned. A group of 4-H members came in to help carry Girl Scout Brownie Troop No 413 decided to be responsible for sending an Easter dinner to one family. This group of second graders planned a complete ham dinner including decorated Easter eggs, and then furnished all the food necessary. Girl Scout Brownie Troop No. 150 made lovely little Easter baskets to be sent along with the FISH food baskets. Obviuously we have future FISH volunteers being beautifully trained by conscientious Girl Scout leaders. There were several young girls and boys helping pack the baskets Sunday morning. It is a pleasure to\vork with these fine young people happily giving of their time and energy to a worth while cause. FISH is grateful to the Lakeland Park Woman's Club who are spon soring a card party April 20 for the benefit of FISH at Lakeland Park Community house. Interested?
