STAFF PHOTO-WAYNE GAYLORD %•> ut* * Local Student Goes To Peru McHenry Shores can be very proud of the outstanding scholastic ac complishments of many of our youngsters. Charlene Einweck, daughter of Charlie and Pat Einweck of Gregg Drive is a fine example. June 12, Charlene leaves for Lima Peru, as part of an exchange program f sponsered by the American Youth Exchange. She will be attending school in Lima, while living with the Aguiler Family, who also have a 17- year-old daughter. She will be at tending the Belens school, along with sightseeing and traveling to see parts of that beautiful city and country. Charlene will be a senior this coming fall at McHenry East campus, and has just completed her third year of Spanish, so she should be quite at home in Peru. Our best wishes to Charlene for a safe and happy trip, and best of luck to her. Charlie and Pat can be quite proud of such a fine young lady. For the past two months, Seth Roland has been working for his "God and Family" award under the direction of Kim Rehfeldt of Shepherd of the Hills. The "God and Family" curriculum is prepared by the Church Commission on Scouting and the Lutheran Council in the United States to allow a youth to identify the relationship between Christian life and faith. The learner does this by examining his relationship to God, his family, his friends, his community, and the future through questions, projects, and discussions.
