JUNE 10,1*83 RINGWOOD NEWS Doris Low 653-9262 Koty Christopher 065-6007 Parish Campout Set June 17-19 The Greenwood-Ringwood parish campout is set for June 17,18 and 19 at Chain-O-Lakes State Park. If you are not partial to camping overnight but would like to go to the grounds for an evening, takea picnic supper with you and there will be campfires buring where you can do some cooking. Saturday night will be a songfest around the campfire. Sunday there will be a potluck dinner at the campgrounds following services in the respective churches. Remember, this is blue-jean Sunday so dress casual so you can enjoy the picnic later. Each family is to bring a dish-to share, table service and beverage. KINDERGARTEN GRADUATION Little Mickey Daurio was one of the students participating in the graduation Mass from kindergarten in St. Patrick's church last week. Ron Svoboda, principal of Middle school, presented the little graduates with their diplomas and Mrs. Bonato was their teacher. Following the ceremony, the children presented their parents with a carnation. When Mickey got home, there were gifts from his parents, Mike and Nancy Daurio, and later grandpa and grandma Daurio came to call, as well as uncle A1 and aunt Gen Daurio of Elk Grove. The folks were served a decorated cake designed by Mickey - a rainbow and the sun. It was a very happy day for the little boy. CHICKEN BARBECUE Tickets will soon be available for the annual chicken barbecue to be held at the Ringwood United Methodist church, Saturday, July 16. The serving times will be 4:30 to 5:30, 5:30 to6:30, and 6:30 to7:30. Mark the date on your calendar. ^ CONDOLENCES The community extends its sym­ pathy to the family of Gene Ackerman of Wonder Lake. He is the brother of Ila Hogan and Leonard Ackerman of this community. Visition was Monday evening of this week and services and burial were held in Melbourne, Fla., were he has three daughters living. FALSE FIRE ALARM It may have been funny to the in­ dividual placing the false alarm this past Tuesday morning from the pay phone by the Post Office, but it would not have been funny to any individual who might have placed a call to the fire department and really needed the services of these men.
