VA f County Home Economist Elected President Of Alumni Association DfRTHS Nancy Moore, University of Illinois Extension Home Economist was elected president of the Bradley university Home Economics Alumni association June 6, in Peoria. Bradley, located in Peoria, is a private college, founded in 1897, and has graduated 680 home economists. Dr. Nina Collins, current head of the Home Economics department, saw the need for support from alumni and set the first meeting date in March of this year. Ms. Moore was appointed chairman of the steering committee at that time. Plans were made to utilize alumni fact sheets as a directory of Home Economics alumni and to sponsor a workshop for alumni on computer programming in home economics. Both computer workshop and final organization meeting were held June 6 and Ms. Moore was elected at that time. During the next year she will guide steering committee members and officers through the process of writing by-laws, setting objectives and planning progams. The main purpose of this association will be to update alumni, recruit quality students, and support the Home Economics department at Bradley.
