Yerkes, 17, of McHenry, died at McHenry hospital Sunday, June 19, as the result of an automobile accident at about 11 p.m. that night, on River road, just south of the McHenry Dam- He was born in Chicago Feb. 27, 1966, the son of Joseph R. and Antoinette (Toni) Stanevich of McHenry. A resident of McHenry about n years, having come from Chicago, Gary had been a student at McHenry East campus high school, where he was to enter his senior year this Fall.
