This week's movie is in conjunction with Fiesta Days. The movies are free to the public ' and will begin at du^k. This week's movie is "Benji". Lifesaving Class The City of McHenry Department of Parks & Recreation will be offering a Senior Lifesaving class beginning Monday, Aug. 1. Anyone interested in being certified to be a lifeguard should sign up for this American Red Cross program. The classes will be held at Knox park pool Monday through Friday. Class time is 10 a.m. to noon running for two weeks. Participants must have reached their fifteenth birthday and will be required to swim a minimum of 500 yards at the first class. Registration for the program is now being taken at McHenry City Hall, 1111 N. Green street. The registration fee includes all books and materials. Registration for this class is limited. For further information on this lifesaving class, call the Department of Parks & Recreation at 344-3300. The Shepherd's Bells, the handbell choir from Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran church, recently joined 70 other handbell choirs from the Area Five chapter of the American Guild of English. Handbell Ringers in Greencastle, Ind. for a three-day festival. Included in the activities were classes on ringing techniques, rehearsals for the massed ringing concert which took place at the end of the festival, and solo concerts. The Shepherd's Bells participated in the solo concerts in which they performed "Jesus Loves Me", arranged by the choir's director, Dawn LaBuy, and also a quartet consisting of Dawn LaBuy, Jane Galler, Julie Smith and Judy Zid played "A Pensive Moment", which was composed by Dawn LaBuy. The group will be perfuming the songs they played at the festival at Shepherd of the Hills church, 404 North Green street, McHenry, on Sunday, July 24, at 9;4S a.m. The public is invited. They will also be performing as part of the Fiesta Days celebration at the Pearl street park on that Sunday at 1 p.m. Included in the songs they will ring will be "March of the Toys" and "Chariots of Fire". A former insurance executive, Mr. Murphy was born in Rochester, N.Y.; raised at MoOseheart Acadeim iy in had Aurora, 111.; and been president of the Cary Country club for many years, up to the time of his passing. As general agent with the Franklin Life Insurance Co., Springfield, HI., he won all their top awards and was a lifetime member of their Million Dollar Round Table. Surviving are his wife Eunice (Kalteux); two daughters, Patricia and Christine (Roessler); a sister Margaret and a brother George. A Funeral Mass was conducted Thursday at Sts. Peter and Paul church in Cary. Visitation was held at Querhammer funeral home, Crystal Lake, Wednesday. Donations may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society.
